Back in 2017, when I took the financial risk of pressing my first record, I honestly had no idea if or how I would sell any of them. However, I knew that if I didn’t “take the plunge,” my ideas would remain stuck in my head.

I’ve had countless musical ideas for years, or even decades, and although attempting to sell records seemed daunting, I knew I had to try. Looking back now, I could never have imagined that, seven years later, I’d be celebrating and writing about Original Gravity Records’ 100th
vinyl release!

Since 2017, I’ve recorded and produced over 250 tracks across various genres, including Ska, Reggae, Blues, Soul, R&B, Funk, Latin, and Jazz. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with incredible vocalists and musicians, forming lifelong friendships along the way. I’ve also relished the freedom to choose what I work on and when I work on it.

A massive “thank you” goes out to all the vocalists and musicians who’ve helped me to bring my ideas to life. Special “shout outs” to Andy Hill, whose support was instrumental in launching the label and encouraging me during those early days and David Doll for his mastering
skills and technical help. And of course, I couldn’t forget the fantastic customers of Original Gravity! Without you, none of this music would exist - except perhaps in my imagination!
